In WordPress you can not modify your HTML code unless you are registered as paid member. So, if you want to put and additional link with a picture on it, it will be difficult.
But with a bit trick, you can do that.
For example, I want to put cluster map visitor in my WordPress. To do that, basically you need 2 address.
-
Your link address
-
Your image address
Note:
-
I Assume that you are familiar with basic WordPress menu
-
Familiar with HTML code
Step 1. Copy your Cluster map Link.
<a href=”http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/maps.php?url=http:/taufanlubis.wordpress.com” id=”clustrMapsLink”><img src=”http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/index2.php?url=http:/taufanlubis.wordpress.com” style=”border: 0pt none ” alt=”Locations of visitors to this page” /></a>
I took this link from Cluster map website.
As you can see,
-
My link address is: http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/maps.php?url=http:/taufanlubis.wordpress.com
-
My image address is: http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/index2.php?url=http:/taufanlubis.wordpress.com
Step 2. Create a new Blog roll category in your WordPress
If you want to put your link in a different blog roll, you have to create a new category.
Step 3. Create a new Blog roll
-
Click Blog roll Tab and choose Manage Blogroll tab.
-
In Name field, fill: clustermap (any name)
-
In Address field, fill: your clustermap link address (example: http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/maps.php?url=http:/taufanlubis.wordpress.com)
-
In the image address field, fill: your image link (example: http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/index2.php?url=http:/taufanlubis.wordpress.com)
-
Click save after finish.
Many thanks for posting this…
there’s an even easier method, which we have put on our news/blog site, specifically for WordPress.com users… even those using the free version…

Thank you ClustrMaps Team! I was finally able to figure it out in just a matter of minutes following your step by step post.
Mahalo!!
Hi there
I just noticed that I am logged on to your site. Are all WordPress.com members logged on together? I am on my own shared server and not using WordPress.com, and I am new to all this stuff. I am not a computer guru. I install site maps following your instructions.
Thanks
Mark McGillveray
Great instructions, I like both ways of posting a clustermap.

how do I get an image addy for wordpress? need more info on how to do this
You can add picture in your article using ‘Add an Image’ button.
First login to your wordpress.
Second, click ‘New Post’ button.
Third, give a title to your article, write something and click ‘Add an Image’ button.
Select a picture then select the picture size before you attach to your article.
Finally, click save (save as draft) or publish (displayed on your wordpress).
