Installation
From Ubuntu Terminal screen (Applications > Accessories > Terminal), type:

How to run?

Open Applications > Internet > XChat IRC

First you have to create your Nick Name and User Name.

Select a Network (for example, ‘FreeNode‘) then click ‘Connect’ button.

After you are connected with FreeNode server, there are 3 options that you can choose. If you are a new, I suggest to select ‘Open the Channel-List Window’.

There will be thousands channels displayed. You can filter the list. Type your key words in Find text box and click search button.

Choose a channel that you want to join and click ‘Join Channel‘.

You will get Welcome Words and it’s ready to use.
