You can change the Cairo-dock configuration to match your need. I like the default display but may be you don’t. Configuration menu can be accessed by doing right click on the Cairo dock then select ‘Configure’ menu.
PART 1. SYSTEM
Configuration 1: Position on Screen
The default is bottom. You may change to Right, Left or Top. I’ve tried to change it to right, but it’s didn’t work. It moved to right but I can’t access it. May be, it’s be caused my screen resolution.
Configuration 2: Auto Hide
I suggest to activate the auto hide function. Otherwise when you open an application, Cairo dock will stay on the top. You can see the sample below.
Configuration 3. TaskBar
When you enable it, it will show the current application (running) in the dock. You can go directly to your application when you click the current application icons. It will help you when you open few applications. But for me, I prefer to disable it.
Configuration 4. Accessories.
There are 5 accessories that you can choose. Weather, Cairo-Penguin, Wife, Terminal and Power Manager. If you don’t need, don’t use it. Because it will consume your memory.
Configuration 5: Functions
There are 11 functions that you can use. These are Shortcut, rendering, Log out, systray, gnome integration old, dust bin, dbus, compiz-icon, Show desklets, Show desktop and Xgamma. Like I said, if you don’t need it, don’t use it.
Configuration 6: Control PC
There are 3 controls that you can use, xmms, AlsaMixer and Rhythm box.
PART 2. PERSONNALISATION
Configuration 1. Views
There are 4 views, Caroussel, 3D Plane, Default, Rainbow and Parabolic. You can change it to your need.

is there any way to access the configuration menu without right clicking ??????????
i just was trying this configuration options and cairo dock disappeared 8S
i uninstalled and installed again but there is no change
anyway i just need a command or something to access the configure menu
“cairo-dock -m” starts the dock in maintenance mode which allows you to configure the dock. Keep in mind that another instance of the dock will run after the configuration is completed.
Conditional format is very nice features in Excel that can help you easily read and see the bottom line with a new data. By using the built in conditional formatting, we can then really get very nice looking conditional format. It does can help you properly to read and see by using Conditional format on you’re excel….Thanks………….. 🙂
